Background
ALEXANDRA CHISHOLM, M.A., RP, QUALIFYING
Throughout her academic and vocational endeavours, Alexandra has always been interested in the intersection of art and science. Through her fine art training at Nova Scotia College of Art and Design University, she explored how people make meaning, share stories, and express the human condition. This also allowed her to investigate the influential nature of culture and the backdrop of greater systems within our lives.
Her desire to help others and love of human sciences led her to pursue a career as a Registered Massage Therapist. After years of focusing on the physical body and connecting with clients through injuries and life transitions, she developed a deep fascination with the mind-body connection. Wanting to expand her helping capabilities, she completed a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology. She utilizes her complementary skills in the treatment of her clients, aiming to consider the whole person and the context to which they relate.
