Dr. Melissa Calhoun
Since 2004, I have provided psychological services in different clinical settings, including private practices, community mental health clinic at the University of Ottawa, and inpatient and outpatient mental health programs at The Ottawa Hospital (General and Rehabilitation Campuses), The Royal Ottawa Mental Health Centre, and The Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario. I also have extensive experience working with community groups to promote positive change, health and empowerment for individuals and communities.
Throughout my career, I have taken an active role in keeping up-to-date on the latest, evidence-based approaches to psychological assessment and treatment. I have published academic articles in peer-reviewed journals and presented widely at conferences.
I completed my B.A. in Psychology (2004) and my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology (2013) at the University of Ottawa. I am registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario with competency in Clinical, Health and Rehabilitation Psychology. I am a member of professional organizations, including the Canadian Psychological Association, Ontario Psychological Association, and Ottawa Academy of Psychology.
