Since 2017, I have provided therapeutic services in a private practice setting, under the supervision of Dr. Meagan Gallagher, C.Psych. – a psychologist registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario with competency in Clinical Psychology. I have a B.A. Hons in Psychology (2009) from Carleton University and an M.Ed. (2018) in Counselling Psychology from the University of Ottawa. I have worked in various clinical settings (The Royal Ottawa Hospital’s Child Psychiatry and Mood Disorder units, The Ottawa Hospital Cancer Centre’s Psychosocial Oncology Program, The Ottawa Hospital Pain Clinic) since 2007, where I was involved in multiple research projects focusing on program evaluation, patient-oriented research, and the benefits of mindfulness and interdisciplinary approaches in chronic pain management.
Prior to joining the Integrated Wellness team, my work experience included positions as a Clinical Psychologist in the Mood and Anxiety Disorders Program and Youth Psychiatry Program at The Royal Ottawa Mental Health Centre. I have worked in private practice in Ottawa at the Centre for Interpersonal Relationships (CFIR) and the Ottawa Couple and Family Institute (OCFI). I have also delivered clinical services at the Ottawa Hospital in the Regional Centre for the Treatment of Eating Disorders and in the Champlain District Regional First Episode Psychosis Programs, at the Centre for Psychological Services at the University of Ottawa, and at Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre in the Adult Mental Health Program.
Since 2004, I have provided psychological services in different clinical settings, including private practices, community mental health clinic at the University of Ottawa, and inpatient and outpatient mental health programs at The Ottawa Hospital (General and Rehabilitation Campuses), The Royal Ottawa Mental Health Centre, and The Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario. I also have extensive experience working with community groups to promote positive change, health and empowerment for individuals and communities.
Throughout my career, I have taken an active role in keeping up-to-date on the latest, evidence-based approaches to psychological assessment and treatment. I have published academic articles in peer-reviewed journals and presented widely at conferences.
I completed my B.A. in Psychology (2004) and my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology (2013) at the University of Ottawa. I am registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario with competency in Clinical, Health and Rehabilitation Psychology. I am a member of professional organizations, including the Canadian Psychological Association, Ontario Psychological Association, and Ottawa Academy of Psychology.
